We're going to have to agree to disagree. I think it's special pleading to want to say that it's fine for Buffy to trust Andrew but not fine for Spike to trust Andrew. We've been shown he's an unreliable narrator both in romantic issues and in slayer business (see #23). But I can see that you are fierce in your opinion that Spike is at fault!
