Not much to say to this. I do know about POV, and how it matters. That's part of why I'm hoping that a closer read would allay my fears about what we are really saying about the nature of Angel's tragedies. You and I seem to agree, very much, on Angel's character. I just haven't sorted through whether some of the externalization of Angel's problems is because Angel himself would want to see it that way, or because Lynch sees it that way himself. It's the latter that's the problem. And when things snapped for me in First Night, I stopped trying to see if he was maintaining a bit of distance between what he thinks and what Angel thinks.
