Thing is, though, even if it does work out, it's painted itself into a corner I've absolutely no interest in seeing it get itself out of. The best we can hope for right now, it seems, is a story that (mildly) subverts the sort of TRU DESTINED LUV 4EVA story that Stephenie Meyer fans are already starting to grow out of (and that Buffy seemed to start to move past by s2). In the immortal words of Danny Glover, I'm too old for this shit.
