Oh absolutely! I'm with your POV and imagining her healing more and more at the end of Chosen. And that's a really satisfying end. I just think for the story to go on, it's more interesting to see a tension and drama in how Buffy's healing goes.
I never would've thought that before writing TYSK which considering how I user Buffy's shadow characters as a way to deconstruct her past issues and have her heal in the end by confronting them and confronting truths about herself--it's all very much about tearing Buffy down to build her back up. And I'm kinda absurdly pleased by Maggie's meta to see that might be what Joss is doing in Season 8.
