Spike did raise his hand. But that was before the reveal about Drogyn, and his (and Wesley's) reaction to it. They carried on, but they were clearly concerned. Loyalty trumped whatever considered judgment thay'ed have made if they'd not been presented with a fait accompli and if Angel had given them the whole big picture. But after? In hell? Plenty of time for those considerations and reservations to bubble up. But that would take a writer who actually thought that Drogyn's murder mattered.

Go Fish wasn't written by a whole other guy in a whole other medium and Joss never made moves to distance himself from it. It's also just an episode and AtF is obviously a bigger project than any single episode.

As for the Spike thing... as I said to Rahirah, I can tell a story about canon Spike that accounts for everything we saw. I'd add that in most scenes and maybe in all scenes, you could find layers of things going on with him. And above all, he was so complex that we all argue ourselves blue in the face about him. So point me to the debates about what Spike is up to here. They were still raging all the way through AtS season 5. If we aren't arguing it's because we're seeing the same thing: and that's exactly my point. There's not enough complexity for you to see Spike A and me to see Spike B and for us to quarrel about it.
