As for how you analyse B Lynch's work in the Jossverse (and as I told you even Spike Asylum is severely lacking in my eyes), you know I totally share your views : we have moved from one multimensional verse to a flat one, with the characters integrating traditionnal comic roles and functionning along the lines of traditionnal dynamics. Like you I'm not interested in this reading and I'm not happy with what it's doing to my favourite character either. But in regard to B Lynch, I just try to remember my own personnal experience and how hard it is to sometimes accept negative -but valid- critics when you've invested much of your passion, time and work in something.
